Hello, my name is Nazneen! I am a 4th medical student studying at the University of Manchester.
I have been tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Maths for the last 5 years focusing primarily on GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level content. I have also tutored English Literature and 11+ content. Since being a medical student, for the last 3 years, I have been recruited multiple times to help students with Personal Statements, UCAT, BMAT and most importantly interview preparation (MMI's and Oxbridge).
I have always been eager in academics from a young age, achieving Grade 9s throughout my GCSE results and also 4A*'s at A-Level. I have attended state schools my entire life and have always been incredibly motivated to be successful.
Hard work, consistency and discipline will take you places where nothing else will - your future is what you make of it and it's all in your own hands! :)
I represented my PBL group during meetings with the Student Year Rep and would voice any concerns we had in regards to teaching and timetables.
Imperial Tutors
Tutor
Oct 2018 - Dec 2020|United Kingdom
I was a KS2/3 Maths/English tutor + GCSE tutor for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I spent time with children across all age ranges and so my communication is definitely a great skill of mine. Being able to teach easy concepts to very young children is equally as hard as teaching hard concepts to clever children! Communication is key.
Xaverian College
Student Representative
Dec 2018 - Jul 2020|United Kingdom
I was a representative for the student body and liaised with the Head Teacher and Head of Subject's about student concerns, feedback and issues. I needed to ensure I had a good rapport and relationship with my peers and my teachers to understand their feelings and opinions.
The Kingsway School
Head Girl
Sep 2017 - Sep 2018|United Kingdom
Being Head Girl was an extreme honour that I worked incredibly hard to get. It was a very rigorous process where I came up with new ideas on how I would change the school's ethos. Whilst being HG, I organised and planned proms, I would speak to the city councillors about our school (alongside the Head Teacher and Head Boy) and I was a general representative of the student body in meetings. Through this, I gained immense leadership and teamwork skills, but most importantly the ability to communicate with my colleagues, younger/older peers, teachers and also city councillors.
The Kingsway School
House Captain
Sep 2016 - Sep 2017|United Kingdom
I was the representative spokesperson for my house in high-school. I would meet weekly with form tutors and discuss issues that students had or any concerns. I would then feedback to my House Leader and attend meetings alongside her and the Head Teacher to liaise.
Very family and friend-orientated so I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and experiencing new places and areas! I'm also a very big foodie - I find a new restaurant/takeaway/cafe weekly where me and my best friend go to visit and review on social media! I also love playing badminton/netball on a weekly basis. I also enjoy going gym!
