I'm a Physics undergraduate at the University of Southampton, currently pursuing an integrated Master’s degree with a keen interest in Aerospace. I’ve been tutoring for over four years, helping students in Maths and Physics at the GCSE level, as well as preparing students for the 11+ exams. I tailor each lesson to suit individual learning styles, and I’m passionate about building confidence and making complex topics easier to understand. Having lived in five countries, I bring a flexible and global approach to learning. My goal is to make sessions engaging, supportive, and effective for every student.
Providing private tuition in Maths and Physics at GCSE level, with a focus on helping students build both understanding and confidence. I tailor sessions to each student's needs using clear explanations, interactive resources, and targeted exercises. I also prepare students for 11+ entrance exams, covering Verbal/Non-Verbal Reasoning, English, and Maths. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assigning homework, tracking progress, and adapting teaching strategies to suit different learning styles. I aim to make each session structured, supportive, and engaging.
Pranava has been brilliant with my son. She has helped him improve in his reading / comprehension skills. She is very passionate and enthusiastic ,always looking into new methods to improvise my son ‘ s score each time. I would recommend Pranava and if anybody would get as a teacher would be lucky.
I want to say a big thank you to Pranava for the incredible help and support you gave to my son on the 11+ journey
Your patience and encouragement and how you explained things made such a big difference.
Your guidance helped my son gain confidence, and he ended up passing the exam!
I am honestly so grateful that Pranava truly cared. He couldn't have done it without your help.
In my first year of tutoring, I worked with a Year 5 student preparing for the 11+ entrance exams. He was struggling particularly with Maths and lacked confidence when tackling word problems and time-bound questions. I began by assessing his current level and identifying specific topics that we needed to work on together. I then designed a personalised learning plan, combining visual aids and timed worksheets.
I used custom PowerPoint slides during lessons and created topic-focused revision sheets for practice between sessions. Over time, his accuracy improved and he developed a structured approach to problem-solving. More importantly, his confidence grew and he began to tackle even difficult questions independently.
The student successfully passed the 11+ and was accepted into his first-choice grammar school. Seeing his growth and excitement on results day was one of the most rewarding experiences in my tutoring journey.
