Short Bio:

I am a qualified Italian, Spanish and French teacher. I`ve taught Italian and Spanish in secondary schools in London and in a grammar school in Kent up to A levels (IB too) and French to KS3 and KS4 level. I have extensive experience in preparing students for the GCSE exams and A level. 
 
Thanks to my experience in different schools (in Spain and UK) I developed a personal teaching method. I aim to create a calm and positive atmosphere so that my client can feel ready to learn. I follow the new national curriculum requirements as my lessons are characterised by a strong grammar approach and I normally dedicate time to the four essential skills: listening, speaking, writing and reading. 

When it comes to learn a new language it is essential to practise the four skills and include cultural awareness. During my lessons I provide my clients with all the necessary equipment to succeed in this exciting experience.

Teaching philosophy

I am deeply enthusiastic about languages and other cultures in general, so you will soon realise that my teaching style is very positive and I always make my student feel at ease. it's really important to create a relaxed environment so that the real learning can take place. That's why my lessons are made engaging  by using authentic resources such as videos, short films, songs and newspaper articles. By doing this the student will learn both the language along with the culture of the studied country. The lessons normally include the practice of grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing and speaking skills which are essential when learning a language. I also plan regular testing to track the student's progress and inform my teaching style. In order to boost the engagement the lessons are tailored to the student's needs and interests.
