My name is Emma and I am currently studying for a Master’s in International Relations at the London School of Economics, having graduated with a double First Class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford this year. I have extensive experience tutoring students through the University application process and at secondary school level.
Working with such a large number of students from all over the world has taught me to be patient, to communicate clearly and to vary my teaching methods depending on the student I am with. It would be a pleasure to help out anyone else in the application process or looking for general academic guidance. Please do get in touch if you have any questions.
I am a Law Masters student with a BA in History from Christ Church, Oxford University. Professionally, I also have over 35 published articles, several national award nominations, and experience as Chief Editor of a student academic journal.
Over the past five years working in private tutoring, I have given hundreds of hours worth of lessons working with students of all ages and capacities. As a former Oxford University student myself, I can offer more than just an insight into university life, offering my students a true understanding of what tutors are looking for in an applicant. With these criteria in mind, I look to cultivate them in my students through mutual understanding and growth, where students know where they need to improve and why.
Outside of the Oxbridge applications process, I have significant experience tutoring both GCSE and A-Level history. I am happy to conduct sessions for short-term exam techniques and preparation or more long-term content-based teaching
With a PGCE and QTS, I bring a solid foundation in education, alongside a First-Class Degree from Bayes Business School. I specialize in tutoring maths up to GCSE level and English, history, geography, and science up to KS3 level. My approach is friendly, warm, and creative, and I aim to make each lesson interactive and engaging.
I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and I tailor my teaching methods to suit each individual's learning style. My goal is to inspire confidence and a love for learning in all my students.
