Expert Physics Tutors for GCSE and A-level

I am the Head of Physics at an oversubscribed outstanding school in Essex and have taught KS3, KS4 and KS5 extensively in sought after schools in Upminster and Billericay since 2010.

I have an expertise in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Computer Science, Law and Engineering. My previous experience has been in Engineering and Management Training. I have also successfully tutored students at all levels including the 11 Plus examination for CSSE and Chelmsford Grammar schools.

I aim to encourage students in all areas of their development and my primary role will be to support the classroom teaching that they are receiving.

I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic Physics teacher, with a calm and friendly teaching style. Having taught syllabus content for over a decade to dozens of classes, each with different personalities and abilities; some requiring unique approaches, I understand precisely how to progress through difficult concepts to ensure maximum learning.

I have taught all the major examination boards including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, EduQas and WJEC. I am able to teach all of the optional modules at A Level, and can guarantee improvements in mathematical skills, experimental methods, and the use of equations.

I am well aware of the increased pressure some students feel, the strain on their mental health, and the gap created in their progress. This is not something I take lightly, and is always a consideration in my compassionate approach to teaching.

My past students have gone on to study Medicine, Natural Sciences, many different types of Physics courses as well as Law, Engineering and even Space Science at prestigious and highly-regarded institutions.

I have over 10 years of experience working in state and grammar schools across two different cities. During this time I have had many additional responsibilities including being head of KS5 Science.

I have over 15 years of tutoring experience across all exam boards. I teach all 3 GCSE Sciences including Combined and Triple Science. I love teaching, seeing students progress and realise their potential. I am enthusiastic, organised and build get rapport with my students. I break down complex information, use real life analogies to make the content more relatable and help students to see the link between topics. I help students master exam technique by giving them the tools to help them articulate themselves so they can secure high marks.

I have a track record of students achieving high grades, including students getting accepted into Cambridge University, Denistry and Medicine. Outside of teaching, I am a qualified Master NeuroLinguistic practitioner - and love using cutting edge techniques to help students achieve their potential.

I graduated with a Class I degree in Physics, with an additional year studying computer science. Through my integrated Master's I studied everything from solid-state physics through to Einstein's general theory of relativity, while also obtaining lab skills working with lasers and electronics. Further, a large proportion of my time was spent analysing data on Python. Together with leading teams/projects, my computational, theoretical, practical, and commercial experience throughout the past 5 years gives me a lot of context to help you appreciate the reason why physics and maths are so powerful and useful but, most of all, interesting!
