Thomas
400+ lessons

Hi, I’m Thomas and I am currently in my 4th year of a General Engineering degree at Durham. I have been tutoring for around 3 years now, having completed over 400 sessions. An example of a session may involve a starter problem/question on subject matter covered the previous week, moving on to look at any content the student may have questions on based on their own work the preceding week. Depending on the individual and how they learn/what they require at the time, we would then move on to work through some subject content (involving an interactive discussion based teaching style) or work through some exam style questions to consolidate knowledge.

Chanel
4 years tutoring

Hello! My name is Chanel, and I’m passionate about helping students excel academically and reach their fullest potential. Currently, I’m pursuing my degree in Medicine at the University of Birmingham, and I bring almost 4 years' worth of experience to my tutoring sessions. I believe that building rapport with students and getting them invested in the learning process is crucial. When students understand why they are studying a subject and how it will help them achieve their goals, each session becomes more productive and enjoyable.
